Marysia & Krystian

Maria&Krystian_0063A

Niedzica castle is a place frequently visited by me. It did not even cross my mind whilst walking by the dam and Lake Czorsztyn that I would be doing a wedding reportage there one day. The place is so charming that it not only appealed to me, but also to Marysia who travelled through half of Poland to spend her summer there. Wandering through the local area they admired the Pieniny Mountains landscape and the beautiful sunrise and sunset. Marysia fell in love with the place so much that she decided to get married in that medieval stronghold.

The story of how they met is interesting. They both love horses. Krystian has his own farm with a few horses and the dress which Marysia made herself, out of her curtains, was made so she could safely go horse riding in it! One day at dusk Marysia was riding a cart and unfortunately she got lost and found herself on Krystian’s farm. He got on one of his horses and got her home safely. The ride home took a while and so they chatted a lot. At that moment they could feel the chemistry between them.. Does that sound like a scene out of a romance? Indeed it does but every last bit of it is true! Emotikon smile

I think we are just very lucky when it comes to couples who dream of unconventional weddings, isn’t that right? It can, but doesn’t have to be grand and all party-party. Emotikon wink It can be low-key, intimate and very romantic. That’s exactly how Marysia and Krystian decided to get married. Accompanying them on that day, I got a feeling that I was surrounded by people who are incredibly in love and happy….

Please take a look at the lyrical story from the unexpected Niedzica.
